About / Biography
Elin Hirsch is an architect working across architecture, research, and curation, with a focus on existing buildings and landscapes, shaped by culture, dependencies and systems.
Her practice explores how built and unbuilt environments can be repaired, reused, adapted, and continued with care. Drawing on spatial, material, cultural, ecological, and historical perspectives, she develops project-specific approaches to working with what already exists.
Her work spans architectural projects, curatorial formats, practice-based research, and advisory work. Across these fields, she is concerned with spatial experience, material responsibility, and the layered meanings embedded in buildings, sites, and landscapes.
